DC United acquires Guerrero from Earthquakes

D.C. United has acquired midfielder-defender Ivan Guerrero of Honduras from the San Jose Earthquakes for a partial allocation.

Guerrero is scheduled to practice with his new team Friday and will be available to play for United against the Kansas City Wizards on Saturday.

He won't be able to appear in U.S. Open Cup matches because he already participated in that competition for the Earthquakes.

Guerrero has one goal in 14 games for the Earthquakes this season. He also has played for the Chicago Fire.
