I can not even begin to tell you what a great product this is. I am an avid reader. I recently downsized my book collection and made it down to 5 bookcases and several stacks. I am sure that I will still buy some books but it is great to download books in less than a minute without using a computer or anything other than the unit. I have used it at the beach as well when traveling. It doesnt look like a computer but a real page of paper. I love it and have been showing it to everyone I know and suggesting that they get one. Greatest invention since sliced bread easily.

In love with Kindle

I'm in love with my Kindle. I love reading and then suddenly remembering another book I'd like to sample - within minutes the free sample (or whole new book) is in my hands.

One reservation I have is that I have to be careful when picking it up not to put my fingers on the page turner; it's hard to remember not to put my hand on the easiest part to hold. I also tried using the bookmark, but it didn't seem to work for me. And, as with audio books, it's not always easy to go back and find an earlier page I want to see.

But for me, the advantages outweigh the negative aspects.

Amazing!!!

I am so very happy with my Kindle. It's everything it says it will be and much more.

Kindle

This has to be the best device ever invented for avid readers. I know that people like us either have a ton of books or go through them very easily. I give mine away or save my favorites and there is less and less room on my bookcase.
I've had my Kindle for a month now and have purchased about twenty books, and I have no guilt about going through them so fast. I can delete them, download them again if I want to re-read it.
I especially love the experimental features, web access and music playing. Though a little more expensive then the Sony Reader, there is the huge advantage of having Amazon.com at your fingers.

The only recommendation I would make is to make a new model that has more space to actually hold the Kindle without accidentally changes pages. There is no grip space save for the center between the screen and the keys. Hopefully there will be an option to upgrade our Kindles should there be more models in the future.
This is a great product and highly recommend it for book lovers everywhere.

love it

I love my Kindle! I look forward to more books being available for the Kindle. I tried getting Newsweek, etc., but found I wasn't reading it. BUT, I love having a novel with me anywhere I go - and the freedom to download another book from anywhere while I'm on trips. I keep my Kindle in my purse at all times and read any spare minute I get.

The electronic ink is very easy to read - it's truly like reading an actual book! No eye strain at all.
