Low profile - slick design - works great

This light is meant to be used with the new M-Edge Kindle covers. Rather than have a clip, there is a small plastic bar/tab that slips into a slot behind the kindle (to be honest, I did not even know it was there until the light arrived - I envisioned it would go in the elastic pen tab). Very slick. It does not interfere with the kindle in any way.
Pros:
-Lays flat beside kindle, cover easily closes over it
-No big clip to worry about
-Battery easily replaced - screw top design requires no tools, battery size like that similar to garage door opener
-Flexible arm easily conforms to any place you want it to be
-Blue hue reduces glare and is not harsh whatsoever but plenty of light to see (woohoo!)
-Arrived with battery
Cons:
-It seems a little short at first which results in uneven illumination, but length is of course limited (I've adapted)
-Very plastic-y
-Seems to attract dirt in its seams (mine had some coming out of package)
-Obviously, because it is made to work with the kindle, it doesn't have a clip or stand to work as a stand-alone light, which other options have
Since my big grievance has been toting around my large Mighty Bright light, I couldn't be happier. This light has zero footprint, easily fitting inside the kindle cover when closed.
While this does not pertain to the light, unlike other reviewers, I have nothing but positive things to say about M-Edge customer service. I was contacted by two customer service reps via e-mail 1) regarding a cover I returned and 2) regarding the light's shipment date. They were both extremely pleasant and gave accurate information. My light arrived 12/26 and was ordered the end of November.

I have the "older" version of the M-Edge Kindle cover. I received it just a few days before the announcement of the upcoming e-Luminator light, or I would have ordered the new version with the light, but never mind - I LOVE my M-Edge cover - red genuine leather. I realize this is not a review of the cover but of the light, so read on. When I saw the new lights, I decided to order one even though it was clear that they were not meant for the cover I had just bought, but since my cover was still so new, and I didn't want to order another one so soon, but I really thought the light looked great... I went ahead and ordered the e-luminator - it was reasonably priced and I figured I'd find some way to make it work with my cover. Well, it arrived yesterday, and that's exactly what I did!
I simply tucked the plastic "tongue" (which is meant to be tucked into a pocket behind and from the left of the Kindle), behind the Kindle from the top. The light arm is flexible so it easly wraps around the Kindle to the left, and the cover closes beautifully and everything is secure. I am thrilled! Like a previous reviewer, I had the Mighty Brite, and had absolutely no complaints, however being able to carry the light right along with the Kindle rather than separately is a huge benefit for me. I travel a lot, and read on planes, etc. and now I don't have to rummage around in my bag looking for the light.. and it's just a pleasure to have that tiny light available whenever I want it. Kudos to M-Edge for excellent design, both in covers (I have one of their other covers as well - the clear plastic for beach reading) and the light. I know the light wasn't meant for the cover I have, but I'm thrilled that it is working great, and would purchase from them again in a heartbeat. I think they are a great company. Innovative and creative, and the note from management in this review column was a nice touch. They really don't have control over how Amazon does business, and they are trying to do well by their customers.

It works great with the jacket and is small. I love it so much!!! My favorite time to read is in the evening before bed, and I was having trouble doing so without the light. Highly recommended.

This is great! It fits in the cover and is so convenient. The light itself has nice illumination. It doesn't glare on the screen. It's a great accesory for the M-edge Kindle cover.

This new book light from M-edge is the perfect accessory for the Kindle. I have had my Kindle for about 6 months and have needed a book light. The e-Luminator work so well, integrates with the jacket, sheds the perfect amount of light for reading in low-light environments. I would 100% recommend this light to anyone who owns a Kindle.
No complaints.
