Product Description

Product Description

This is the classic paperwhite, the fastest from bulb to bloom and the hands-down easiest. Just three or four growing in a bowl with pebbles will perfume an entire room with their sweet, musky scent. Start pots of these every 10 days and you'll have fragrance to carry you through until spring flowers are blooming outdoors. Or buy a pretty bowl - antique, colored glass or whatever strikes your fancy - and give it, with 3 to 5 ready-to-sprout bulbs and a cup or two of pebbles to anyone who loves flowers. Add a free copy of our growing instructions, see the link below. Success is guaranteed. For gardeners in zones 8-10 these will scent your early spring garden wonderfully and add bobbing white, snippable blooms to your flowerbeds. Deer and rodent proof.

Customer Reviews

Great as gifts, but buy big pots!

Rating: 5 (2008-12-17)

Ok, I bought 30 bulbs of this, intending to pot them up in groups of three to make ten gifts for people I need small gifts for (coworkers, neighbors, friends who don't want me to spend money on them, etc.). So when they shipped I went to the garden center and bought 10 four inch pots since I thought three would fit in one. A few days later I got the package. The bulbs were HUGE, like 2.5 inches across! I could barely cram two into a 4 inch pot. So I had ten leftover, which I put in a 10 inch bulb pan. I mixed sand with regular potting mix, and they're growing like crazy. VERY HIGH QUALITY! And hey, now I get some for me! They're the ultimate houseplant--fragrant, easy to grow, you can take care of them for a month or two and then throw them out, sorta like a super long lasting boquet. The only probelm with them is they're so vigorous that the pan for me got their roots tangled in my humidity trays, so now I can't use it as a centerpiece without moving the icky, algae filled humidity tray along with it!
